I am now a pimp!!

I passed my Project Management Certification exam!!

Hardest test I've ever taken including my real estate exam. I barely completed in the 4 hours allotted and I'm mentally drained.

Fire bad. Tree pretty. Beer good.

It ain't easy being a pimp!

Sincerely,

Ray Fisher, PMP

Disneyland and other news...

Disneyland is beckoning once again. I booked a trip in October for James and I to drive down for his 27th birthday. We’re leaving on October 14th and returning on the 19th. I am so excited because I’m meeting up with my dear friend, Marina Campana, while we’re there! Marina and I have done a few shows together here in Sacramento, but she moved down to LA about 3 years ago. She’s done fairly well…I’ve seen her on several television shows (Will and Grace, Charmed) and in at least one movie (XXX – State of the Union) as an extra and she’s also recently been auditioning for a few lead roles in big budget films. I love her dearly and I cannot wait to spend some time catching up with her. I last saw her in 2005 when she spent a day at Disneyland with me and Anthony Avery. That was during the year I wasn’t working and went to Disneyland about 8 times within 9 months!
.
On other fronts, James is job hunting and has several leads now through friends at the Dharma Center. I am on a 4-week break from college because I have to get certified as a Project Manager and I’ve been spending my break studying for my PMP exam. I also need to get my real estate license re-instated, so I’m working on that as well. So, in reality, I’ve had no break! Mom is back in North Carolina until the holidays, so James and I have the house to ourselves. Justin came to spend the weekend with us these past few days. I’ve not had a great deal of time to spend with him lately, so it was great to have him there.
.
Theater is all but a distant memory right now. I’ve not seen any shows and I’ve deliberately been avoiding it. Partially from negative emotions attached to it right now, but also I’m concerned that if I see a show, I’ll miss being on stage and want to audition for something. I’ve been keeping myself creatively challenged by doing some video projects and writing some new music.
.
I got an email from the father of Mara Davi this week. She had a great interview in Playbill regarding her new role in The Drowsy Chaperone on Broadway. Check out the article at http://www.playbill.com/news/article/111064.html. I really need to get to NYC to see her in this show because by all accounts, she is amazing in it!!
.
Speaking earlier of going back to college, I am really enjoying my classes. My last class was Advanced Composition and I’ve never felt that English was a strong subject for me. I got an A- overall in the class, but I was disappointed in my final research paper. I got an 86 on the assignment and mostly because of stupid formatting errors. It’s been a long time since I’ve written a paper in APA format and I need to take advantage of the writing center at the university. All you have to do is make an appointment and they will review your paper and help you to correct those types of errors.
.
I created a music page over at MySpace and I’m going to start uploading some of my songs there. One of my goals once I finish my degree is to spend a bit more time writing and polishing some of my songs and getting them self-published. Not that any of them may be especially note-worthy, but they are all just sitting in a notebook right now. Couldn’t hurt to put them out there.
.
May this note find your day filled with many blessings! Thanks for stopping by!

Farewell to the puppies...

I met with the lady who rescued the puppies last night around 5:30pm and gave Abby and Boo back to her. They are going to a rescue shelter to be altered and then put up for adoption. I so wanted to keep little Abby. I fell totally in love with that sweet little face!
.
Here are the farewell pictures I took from my phone. The first one is Abby and the second one is Boo.
Who can resist that sad face?

"Boo" is short for Norbu which is Tibetan for "precious little gem."
.
I hope they find good homes and that they will bring love and joy to their new owners!!

Puppies!

James and I are foster parents for two adorable puppies. We've named them Norbu (means Precious Little Gem) and Abby (it was Angel Butt, shortened to A.B. and then Abby). Check out the pics! We only have them for a week, but they were abandoned along with their 9 brothers and sisters at birth. We're just helping out, but I would love to keep at least one of them.

Check out the faces!!
